Weddings at The Westleton Crown, Suffolk

13th May 2015

When we first considered hosting weddings back in 2011 we thought perhaps we would hold two or three a year. We thought The Westleton Crown would certainly not be considered the typical wedding venue; we are not a 4 star hotel, we don’t have a long grand drive way that leads to a country house hotel, we don’t have a marquee in the grounds. How wrong we could be! It appears that conventional is not important, but relaxed weddings in a country inn suit many bride and grooms.

The Westleton Crown is now holding more than 15 weddings a year with great delight from every bride and groom. We hold weddings from October to May, and at our busiest during November and December when we have our open fires lit and can offer a candle lit romantic day and evening. The nearby Suffolk coast is often a temptation for newlywed’s photos and can make a stunning backdrop to many a photo album.

These are typical thoughts from our couples after their wedding day:

“the food was amazing”

“magical and romantic wedding weekend”

“loved the warm cosy feel”

“love the warm welcome, relaxed atmosphere”

“attention to detail”

All our weddings start from a blank piece of paper. It is important to us that the couple’s wedding day is about the bride and groom as much as The Westleton Crown. We work out menus together, drinks together and how the feel of the day will be; at the end of the day it’s a celebration  that will be remembered for lifetime and should therefore reflect the couple that will hold the memories.

It is important to us at The Westleton Crown to find a balance and make sure that we keep the number of weddings a year to an amount that suits everyone; we certainly don’t want to become a typical wedding venue. Our relaxed wedding days suit more people than we ever believed possible and our diary is getting increasingly full.
